• Information you give us. When you request help: your name, phone number, email, ZIP/area, and a description of your service need. When you join as a pro: your business name, phone, email, website, and trade/service area.
• Information collected automatically. Device and usage data, pages viewed, referring URLs, and marketing parameters (UTMs), collected via cookies and analytics (PostHog), along with IP address.
• Information from other sources. For pros, we may enrich your profile from your own website and public business listings.

How we use information

• To connect homeowners with a local service provider (our core function).
• To send service-related and transactional messages (e.g., confirmations, follow-ups).
• To send newsletters and marketing only where you have opted in (see “Email” below).
• To operate, secure, measure, and improve the Service.
• To comply with law and enforce our terms.

How we share information

• With a matched provider. To connect you, we share the details needed to serve you (such as name, phone, and your described need) with the single provider matched to your request.
• Service providers. We use vendors to run the Service, including hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email delivery (Resend), and analytics (PostHog). They process data on our behalf.
• Legal. Where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
• We do not sell your raw personal information. Any partner or aggregate sharing is permissioned or de-identified.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and analytics (PostHog). You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor applicable opt-out signals where required.

Email and marketing (CAN-SPAM)

Marketing emails are sent only to people who opt in. Every marketing email identifies the sender, includes our valid physical mailing address, and provides a one-click unsubscribe; we honor opt-outs promptly and never use false or misleading headers or subject lines.
